Siemens Energy, a global leader in energy technology, operates across more than 90 countries and focuses on both conventional and renewable energy solutions. The company plays a critical role in global electricity generation, aiming to enhance sustainability in energy production.
With a focus on both conventional and renewable energy technologies, the company supports countries in North Africa as they transition to more sustainable energy systems. Siemens Energy’s operations in North Africa span multiple sectors, including power generation, transmission, and the integration of renewable energy sources.
In August, Siemens Energy (ENR1n.DE) raised its free cash flow outlook for the second time in three months, driven by strong demand for its power grid equipment and gas turbines. This boost comes as the company recovers from challenges in its wind division, signaling a positive shift in its overall performance.
The rise in global electricity demand, coupled with the increasing need for gas turbines, network components, and maintenance services, has provided significant momentum for the company. Siemens Energy, which competes with major industry players like U.S.-based GE Vernova, Denmark’s Vestas, and China’s Goldwind, is capitalizing on this demand surge.
Since its spin-off from Siemens AG in 2020, Siemens Energy’s stock has more than doubled, making it one of the best performers in Germany’s blue-chip index. This recent upward trajectory highlights the company’s strong positioning in the energy market, particularly in regions where power grid infrastructure and gas turbine technology are critical to meeting rising energy needs.
In Algeria, Egypt, and Morocco, Siemens Energy has been involved in major power generation projects, supplying cutting-edge gas turbines, steam turbines, and transmission systems to enhance energy efficiency and meet growing demand.
Recently, Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mahmoud Esmat, met with Siemens Energy’s Managing Director for Africa, Dietmar Siersdorfer, and Managing Director Ashraf Hamasa, alongside their delegation. The discussions centered on leveraging innovative technologies to accelerate the energy transition and tackle the region’s energy challenges.
