Siemens Energy has promoted Rohan Lobo to Head of Business Development for its Middle East and Africa Hub, a move that reinforces the company’s commitment to expanding its regional footprint and advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Lobo, who has spent over 15 years at Siemens, has a track record in business development, strategy, and sales across the Middle East and Europe.
In his new role, Lobo will oversee the development of Siemens Energy’s diverse portfolio, focusing on innovative solutions to meet the growing energy demands of the region. Previously, he led Siemens’ Oil & Gas strategy and was instrumental in driving utility sales in the Lower Gulf region, solidifying Siemens Energy’s presence in these critical markets.
Dietmar Siersdorfer, Siemens Energy’s CEO for the Middle East and Africa, commended Lobo’s dedication and leadership, expressing confidence that Lobo will drive business development efforts to new heights. “Rohan’s experience and commitment to innovation have been invaluable across his various roles,” Siersdorfer remarked on LinkedIn.
Lobo has also pointed out the importance of addressing challenges such as grid stability, energy efficiency, and the renewable transition, especially as energy demand in the Middle East and Africa is expected to grow by 3% annually. “By fostering collaboration and adopting innovative solutions, we have the opportunity to progress towards net zero and support countries’ development visions,” Lobo shared in a recent LinkedIn post.
