KEC’s scope for the Oman project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the transmission lines.

In Saudi Arabia, L&T has secured orders for setting up ±500kV HVDC transmission links

Indian infrastructure firm KEC International, part of the RPG Group, has won a contract to construct a 400kV overhead transmission line in Oman.

KEC’s scope for the Oman project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the transmission lines.

The latest contract follows recent high-profile wins in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, further consolidating the company’s position in the region’s power infrastructure sector.

In addition to its Middle East ventures, KEC has secured orders for towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas, as well as metro overhead electrification (OHE) work in India. The developments reflect the company’s expanding footprint across its business verticals.

“We are pleased with the various orders secured across geographies,” said Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International. “This project in Oman, combined with our wins in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, solidifies our leadership in the Middle East. We are also encouraged by our growing presence in India’s metro and railway sectors, which remain key focus areas.”

KEC’s year-to-date order intake has reached Rs146 billion, marking a 50% growth compared to the previous year, signaling robust momentum across its global operations.
